OVERVIEW

Our garden, forest, and barn are chock-full of good things to do and good things to eat!

Young Farmers will spend the week with our stellar Education team, exploring the Farm, gardens, and surrounding forest. Each morning, children will assist our farmers in caring for the animals during morning chores. During the day, we will spend time gathering eggs and picking herbs to help prepare homemade snacks in the farmhouse kitchen, playing games, and exploring the Farm. Our afternoons will be spent further exploring the land through stream splashing, shelter building and hikes on the Retreat trails, art projects, and afternoon chores with the animals.

With 15 acres to explore, each day is sure to be full of delight and wonder. The days will be structured to include times for group team building and self-discovery as campers learn and grow together in the natural world.

Camp runs from 9am to 3pm Monday - Friday. Campers should come each day with water, snack, and a packed lunch. Please bring a change of clothes on Monday that can be kept in their cubby for the week. Drop-off is from 8:30am- 9am and pick-up is from 3pm - 3:30pm. Aftercare is available from 3:30-4:30.

SCholarships

At Retreat Farm, we recognize that nature-based programs and camps are important experiences for all children. Young Farmer Camp is a place to learn grow, meet friends, and have fun in the outdoors! We want as many kids as possible to have the opportunity to attend our camps. However, we also know that the cost of camp can be a burden for some families.

This year, in order to serve more families, we are offering partial scholarships for a week of camp. Scholarships are provided per family per season and not guaranteed to every applicant. Applications are required for each child, including multi-children families. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis to eligible families who qualify for EBT, Medicaid, and Reduced/Free School Lunch letter or card holders.
